With Yun Air's Activated Carbon Filters, oil vapours and odours in the compressed air can be reliably removed from pre-dried compressed air or pressurized nitrogen gas. The oil vapour is adsorbent by surface-active adsorption in the upstream AX-filter stage.
YD145 Filter housings and filter elements L145ACS are designed to remove pollutants from the air with a process known as adsorption. The filter element is made from thousands of activated carbon granules of sufficient thickness and high dwell time will be far more effective than one made from a thin layer of carbon.
During adsorption the pollutants stick to the outside of the carbon. Whereas with absorption, the pollutants are absorbed inside the structure itself–as with the sponge. Once the activated carbon bed is that over time, the gaseous pollutants increasingly fill up the adsorption sites of the activated carbon, the filter can no longer trap pollutants.
Our activated carbon air filters maintain the lowest differential pressure possible, thereby reducing the cost of operation with high separation efficiency. Highly effective microfibre fleeces ensure a high dirt holding capacity.
