To maximize the filter element's lifespan and achieve ISO 8573-1:2010 Class 1 air purity, you must install a high-efficiency coalescing pre-filter (such as a 0.01-micron oil removal filter) directly upstream to catch all liquid aerosols first.
Q2: How often should the activated carbon filter element be replaced, and how can we tell it's saturated?
A: Unlike standard particulate filters, activated carbon filters do not show a significant increase in pressure drop (differential pressure) when they are saturated. Therefore, a pressure gauge will not tell you when to change it.
